Echoes of the mind series
This series explores the complexities of mental health, where the line between sanity and insanity, stable and unstable, is frequently tenuous. This is significant to me, and it is driven by the escalating violence and fear in my home country, Mexico.
As an immigrant, I struggle with conflicting emotions. On one hand, I face hurdles, such as culture differences, language barriers. On the other hand, I feel fortunate being in the Netherlands, a country rich in artistic heritage. Yet, this privilege goes with a feeling of helplessness and a constant fear for the safety of loved ones back home.
